Great BBQ Lunch Stop. When we are working in the area we love to stop at Excell BBQ! It doesnt look like a place that has great food but its amazing! I like to get the plate lunch! Their bbq sandwich is good with coleslaw and onions on it! Yumm makes me hungry just thinking about it! The green beens and potato salad are the way to go! My boyfriend likes the ham sandwich too! If your ever out around Excell rd its def. worth it to stop and grab some bbq! They have a little back seating area where they will serve you on somedays around lunch hours or you can walk up and order yourself!

Sometiems when we stop we ask if they have any left over bones and they give them to us for free for our dog and he loves them!

Best Q in Middle TN. Excell Grocery, sometimes known as "Big Daddy's", has some of the best Q you will find. The barbecue sandwich is big and delicious. They cook most days, but it's sure to be fresh on the weekends. It's and old fashioned grocery store: you can get your Q to go or eat it at the tables in the back of the store. The sides are decent, but be sure to get a fried pie for dessert. Don't go to Big Daddy's looking for a fern bar, this is a place to eat Q.
